Frequently Asked Questions

Below are answers to some frequently asked questions but if you would like to find out more about entering or any aspect of the National Sales Awards, please contact the team on 0207 921 8247 or email loren.jones@ubm.com

1). How much does it cost to enter?

Entries are free of charge and must be completed & submitted by June 28th 2013.

2). Can I or my organisation enter more than one category?

Individuals and organisations can enter multiple categories but please note that the entry fee will apply to each.

3). What are the benefits of entering?

The process of entering the National Sales Awards is extremely valuable. It’s an opportunity to review key areas of success, and what contributed to it. By submitting to the judging process, you can benchmark against peers and competitors outside your organisation and, if you are shortlisted, your profile will be raised at a national level. Every entrant receives a Benchmark Report, which indicates areas of greater strength and weakness to support continued improvement and success.

4). How do I make the most of my entry?

The judges will look for the most comprehensive entry forms as the ones that stand out the most. If you provide as much supporting documentation as possible this will help the judges to form a well rounded view of the entrant or company. Ensure that the language is clear and concise and doesn’t leave out any information that could be important in your entry.

5). When will I hear if I’ve made the shortlist?

You will receive an email or personal letter prior to the shortlist announcement on Friday 10th August. If you have entered more than one category you will receive notification on each category separately.

6). What do I do if I’ve made the shortlist?

You will need to contact a member of the National Sales Awards team to provide them with a head and shoulders picture of the entrant, company logo or similar, dependent on the category. You will also need to book a time slot in for your presentation at the final judging.

7). What is the final presentation and who is it to?

For the final judging you will be invited to attend a presentation opportunity in front of our panel of judges. This will take the format of a 10 minute presentation given by you to the panel followed by a 15 minute question and answer session. Your presentation should relate directly to the category you are a finalist in.

8). What format can I make my presentation in?

We ask that each presentation is made in PowerPoint. Please ensure that you bring your presentation loaded onto a USB stick. We will provide a laptop. Please note that no sound is provided.

The Awards ceremony is taking place on Thursday, 7th November 2013
